The Friends of the Opera

You love opera... be a part of it! Join the Friends of Opera Roanoke and be actively involved in fabulous productions. The Friends support Opera Roanoke's mission in a number of ways.

• Throughout the year, friends assist the Opera Roanoke office staff assisting with mailings or answering the telephone.

• Friends can help during productions with "backstage" chores such as scenery, costumes and make-up.

• Friends can join the cast on stage as "supernumeraries".

• Friends can provide housing for visiting artists during rehearsals and productions or help host social events before and after productions at Shaftman Hall.

• Friends can assist with fund-raising activities such as Models and Melodies and selling Opera Roanoke gifts at productions.
